Shout out to the hater on Nostr who told me I was living in a fantasy world. I wasn’t… but I thought that sounded like a fantastic idea.

So I dove in headfirst: I reread a ton of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, visited actual hobbit holes with my best friend, met wonderful Nostr friends at the Ren Faire, explored castles, ruins, and fantasy events, wandered historic sites, took sword fighting lessons, studied medieval history, art, and historical fashion, and started transforming my home into a proper wizard’s castle. I’m even drawing up plans to build a real hobbit hole on the farm.

Best part? I made a bunch of amazing new friends along the way.
