On my (inevitable) flights I regularly get on the nerves of the person sitting next to me by explaining, more or less convincingly, why flying in these machines that weigh several metric tons is physically impossible. The airlines have set up a billion-dollar scam: Behind the airport terminal all kinds of Cinecittas have been built; people think they’re in Mallorca, but in reality, after a professionally staged sham (looking out the window is pointless - it’s all fake), they’re simply shuttled to the other side of the airport grounds into a pre-booked illusion of reality.
