10 days ago I was at the gas station filling up my little truck with diesel. It has a 60 litre tank. I also filled up an extra 60 litres in jerry cans. Price was $2.79 per litre. Yesterday at the same station the price was $3.49. I am pretty sure similar price hikes, as a knock on effect, are coming to things like food and a range of materials that are petroleum derived, such as plastics and resins. I am thinking as early as the middle of next week or by mid April I will see signs of the price hikes. So as with diesel 10 days ago, I have been stacking extra pantry staples along with my regular buy. My numbers might be a bit off but I think I am directionally right. 🤷♂️
