There's no difference. The people of Northern Montana and Southern Canada are the same. Each can cross the "border" and operate without friction.
My points are that they are the same demographic, language, culture, values, very similar history. But these lies of sovereignty are actually dangerous because it's harming the people of the north. Look at Toronto, deep in American territory.
Allow the people to finally reap the rewards and stop letting nationalist propaganda prevent prosperity.
It's not like going from Afghan to China though their neighbors.
