That's not true... It's not that God is "in control," it's more like God is working. God might know what Trump is going to do, but he's not making him do it. Big difference. God might know what Trump is going to do, but that doesn't mean he approves it.
However, God can use circumstances despite us.
This is why I'm leery of people repeating ad nauseam, "God is in control." That's a Calvinist catchphrase, and it's misleading.
