For example, I know that some autistic people find it much more possible to participate in group conversations over text. In my experience of municipal hearings and public comment practices, textual interaction is possible but significantly less fruitful and accommodated than in-person interaction, and that's pretty suboptimal. This is something autistic advocacy organizations and democratic participation advocates could work on.
