there is this mindset in Florida that Florida is full and we don't want people coming here but this is wrong

personally i do want people coming here - just not the wrong kind of people

but the wrong kind of people will come anyway - the key is to outnumber them by having MORE of the right people coming ...

the idea that Florida is for seniors is also outdated ... yes there are parts of Florida like The Villages or Sarasota that are for seniors but Miami is certainly not for Seniors for example and neither is the Disney World

my advice for you is to spend two years touring Florida to find the right part and move there before it is too late ( before it is full )

come every 3 months for 2 years and on every trip stay for two weeks and tour the the whole peninsula

rent a BMW or Mercedes from SIXT and drive around - it's cheap if you return to the same location

i think if you wait until retirement you will discover Florida real estate as affordable as that in Monaco

also there is an adjustment to the lifestyle and culture etc. i wouldn't want to make such adjustments in old age.
