I find it very telling that UAE decided to drop out of OPEC. There seems to be a race to pump and sell as much oil before the demand disappears.
The side effect of the wars in Ukraine and in Iran is that countries are finally realizing that you cannot rely on uninterrupted supply of oil. The US is an outlier, as it can burn its own oil with abandon, stinking up the whole planet.
