Bamboo in Blooming Color

This is a photo of the leaves of a heavenly bamboo plant (Nandina domestica) that grows in our front yard, right on the southwest corner of the house. Also known as Chinese sacred bamboo, it’s a shrub that carries both red and green leaves—quietly striking, and one of my favorites.
