🇺🇸 #US - 🇮🇳 #India / 🇮🇷 #Iran: Three Indian sailors were killed yesterday after the US military struck the Palau-flagged tanker MT Settebello in the Gulf of Oman.
CENTCOM claimed the vessel was transporting Iranian oil and said a US aircraft targeted its engine room with "precision munitions" after the crew failed to comply with instructions from American forces.
Indian representatives stated that the ship had no connection to Iran or Iranian oil. Twenty-one of the 24 Indian crew members were rescued by the Omani Navy.
The MT Settebello is the third vessel carrying Indian crew to be struck by US forces in the Gulf this week.
