"content": "\u003e A future update will introduce safeguards to prevent firmware not released by #Commodore from being loaded.\n\nThis is a hard no-go for future #C64U recommendations from me, if this means third-party firmware will eventually be locked out. \n\nOthers have suggested it might be hiding it behind a 'dev' mode, in which case, okay fine. \n\nBut if this really is a plan to lock us out of our rather expensive hardware, well... I don't think the 'new Commodore' needs that kind of black eye on their reputation.
