I don't think Mastodon should be "big enough" to allow any community to thrive if that community is based on values which are inherently anti-community.
There's no need to cater to any movement based on theft, appropriation, greed, anti-humanism, and environmental destruction. Civil society should rightly reject such nihilistic behavior, and furthermore, fedi generally not being welcoming to it is a *feature* not a bug.
That is a personal choice and one which I totally respect. But I do think Mastodon should be big enough, and open enough, to allow an "AI community" to form, even thrive.
Too many people in my replies don't seem to agree with that.
