I am beginning to plan downsizing. The reason I haven't pursued this before is I have been super sick 3 springs in a row and couldn't move beyond my bedroom for months at a time. This is the first spring since 2023 I have been "healthy": no travel and no indoor socializing without a mask on, but I can breathe and bike.
I won't be able to sell until October, for tax reasons having to do with when the house was deeded to me. But I'm talking to a realtor Friday to establish a plan, especially as I am too low-income to get a mortgage.
