IDK, I’d rather have these companies try to pass efficient, deterministic algorithms off as “AI” to the stockmarket than replace them with something orders of magnitude slower and more resource-intensive that kinda works some of the time, occasionally shits itself and dies gruesomely, but will* achieve godlike powers with just a few thousand more GPUs because the world’s richest fools once read some scifi and see it at their ticket through the Singularity.
