If you let yourself get tricked into organizing your life around "living your politics" - that is, giving up on nice things in the hope that this will make politics change, and then getting mad at people who consume different things from you - then you will end up sucked into the stupidest fights imaginable with the people you need to get along with in order to do *politics.*
