I've only ever been in one Union, OE-3 and that was rebuilding after Loma Prieta.
Almost joined the Grip Union in LA because according to (everyone) I "look like a grip" (jeans, flannel, boots, bad attitude) and I got accosted by producers because I "wasn't doing my job". (I was working on a client's network downtown and producer told me to get back to work.
