Ha, I had fun on this cover. I wanted to depict a creature I encountered in the book, one of those that pushed me to rewrite it for a modern audience, as I had not encountered half-people anywhere, things with only one leg, one arm, one eye.... I didn't do them justice in this rendering, and will try modelling them again later, perhaps after figuring out sculpting in #blender

Cover reveal! We've edited this book for modern readers. It's an important documentation of African cultures. The original, written 100yrs ago by a racist anthropologist, had a lot of problematic texts, misinformation, and hallucinations of colonialists. We had to weed all that out, and it was a hectic job that took so much longer that planned. Now we are done, the cover is here, and now we hope to release it in a few weeks.
