Religiously, a large sum of money is considered a blessing so long as you’re tithing 10% for charitable causes.
When people don’t, as they generally start hoarding, gradually the blessing becomes a burden, a curse sometimes. As you say, it makes men turn greedy, and women, cold and cruel.
