If Moore's Law hadn't stopped they wouldn't be spending billions on data centers, your phone would be powerful enough to run it all.
Exponential growth is _always_ an s-curve that bends back down eventually. Software revenue stopped growing when a ~15 year old laptop could run today's software reasonably well.
