I don't think we should give up but there definitely should be MUCH more focus on survival strategies. Looking to indigenous people e.g. in North America, Australia and NZ for leadership on this would be a start. It is already far too late for climate change to be turned around-we are looking at a massive extinction event with the collapse of food chains, water scarcity etc. Owning the latest smart phone is not going to help!
