We really need a non-social media #Babyfur (or #abdl) community based around zero shame, preferably one that's classically "woke" (aware of systems of power/oppression). I'm not talking a space that says "it's okay to be cute in text chat"; I want one that says "it's okay to be yourself everywhere". I don't want "most art is okay unless it's the yucky kind"; I want "art is valuable, period, unless it's used for the purposes of enforcing systems of oppression". I want a space that values nuance and humanity, and one that holds the beauty of diversity as its core value.
tbh in practice that probably just means that I want like an anarchist-ish or punk-ish babyfur Discord or something, but like, one that actually abides by principles of caring for other people. I also am not sure Discord is the best place for that, so like... maybe a Signal chat or something? idk but I am feeling lonely; more and more it feels like every space is either extremely emotionally distant/impersonal or actively hates either some part of me or some type of person who I care about.
Cubhub is pretty dang good (overall, at least), but the community-shaped hole in my heart ain't ever gonna be filled by microblogging or anything similar. Gimme voice chats and live text chats, threaded forums, or something like that. Maybe all of it.
