Pruned is fine. You're still enforcing the rules of the network, you're still transacting without middlemen as a full node.
Archival just means you're helping more with bootstrapping new nodes. Like bittorrent, as long as there are enough full seeds, each additional one has diminishing returns.
There's a weird idea that seemsbto be proliferating that everyone needs the whole chain. It's a silly one. You do need to validate the whole chain but you don't need to keep it.
I for one am looking forward to Florestad, a pruned full node using utreexo that runs on mobile. It's available for Signet already.
