First, yeah there were absolutely homeless people who got on the bus because it was free air conditioning. But that happens anyway regardless; when there is a fare, a bus driver is unlikely to fight with someone that their days old transfer is invalid rather than just keep driving the route. I can think of maybe 2 or 3 times in 11 years that someone actually got kicked off a bus. The solution frankly has nothing to do with transit, and everything to do with housing affordability, which greater Denver is terrible at.
