#writerscoffeeclub Mar. 28: Do you ever sacrifice blunt clarity for prose that flows well?
I love prose that feels like poetry, so if something is blunt and clear, eg, "the cup was on the table," I'd go for something deeper, like "the cup lurked on the table like a hungry monster waiting for morsels of coffee."
