Our son doesn't like being strapped into the car seat. He'll often flip around when I try to strap him in so I need to pick him back up and try again, at least ones before I get him down long enough to get at least one strap around his arm!
Then when we got home today he woke up as I was about to take him inside, so I have him a little box of fidget I needed to bring inside too, and asked him to hold it. Boy did he hold it! In fact, I could almost not get him out of the straps because he was holding it, and then when I did, and finally got him out of the seat, he still didn't let go of the box 🤣

Apparently that's what's been missing when putting him in the seat I guess 🤔🤣
