I don't really have a take away from that because there are lots of possible reasons, one being that Netanyahu is pretty pro Putin, which he is.
My position in a nutshell is that whoever wins in November, US foreign policy is unlikely to change, but there is a higher, albeit low, chance of a Trump government stopping the destruction than a Harris one.
Most likely the Palestinians and Lebanese will be massacred with US munitions. Harris will cry some crocodile tears whereas Trump will play golf and shoot his mouth off. However, of the two of them, we know how Harris will respond to further Israeli crimes against humanity. She is currently vice president and at least has the merit of coherency. Trump is a massive bag of contradictions but clearly personally has isolationist and 'realist' instincts. He also is part of the new hard right. That awful curse on humanity has elements who are opposed to the current version of US imperialism, a different curse on humanity.
Not voting Harris won't make things worse. It might just make things better. Certainly the responsibility for ending US world exploitation falls on US citizens. Withholding your support from genocidaires, even at cost to yourself seems a good first step to being ungovernable.
