but if the little number on *my* doesn't go up when someone clicks a button on *their* screen...
i think that's the root of this all. wanting stuff to react like a video game on the "web". i'm real far removed from web dev; i've managed a lot of back-end, and i can create a valid html page in about 30 seconds in a text editor; but i can't fathom how to allow two users to interact on the same page without bringing in a ton of overhead. I guess there's websockets or something?
