"content": "What Lies Beneath (2025)\n\nAs much as it hurts to witness glaciers disappearing more every year, the colors, textures and exposed geological features are some of the things I absolutely cherish each time I find myself in their vicinity...\n\nThese are truly unique landscapes to meditate on the age, scale \u0026 forces which have been shaping this planet, the environments they've created, directly and indirectly, the fragility of life trying to thrive in them, even if only temporarily, and the hubris human existence is in comparison, the sediment layers of unnecessary blood \u0026 pain we've been laying on top throughout our history (and keep on doing so), mostly caused by wannabe grand old sick men and all the people who keep on empowering them, generation by generation anew...\n\nYou don't need space travel to appreciate this Pale Blue Dot of ours — a hike in these environments can give you very similar insights...\n\n#TextureTuesday #LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography #Alps #Mountains #Glacier #Geology\nhttps://mastothing.files.fedi.monster/media_attachments/files/116/561/286/213/062/822/original/83ead65456f146cd.jpg\n",
