Got genuinely scared by what I learned at BTC Prague about the bitcoin kidnapping gangs in Europe. One of the ways in which they find their targets is by looking up people who post about Bitcoin on social media apparently, so my first reaction was to remove all Bitcoin-related posts I had made. I then came to the conclusion that making my profile more anonymous would be the better strategy, since simply being on nostr probably indicates that one is a bitcoiner and the thought of not being able to post about Bitcoin just makes me sad.

Going forward as a community, I think the best thing we can do is to cultivate a reputation of being extremely dangerous to make every kidnapper know not to fuck with us.
