A new review of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service panels suggests they are too lenient on predatory medical practitioners accused of sexual misconduct, too often falling short of GMC guidance that predators should be struck off & too often merely suspending them for a period.
MPTS decisions can & have been appealed by the General Medical Council resulting in stiffer penalties but the problem needs resolving if such actions are to be properly punished!
