I thought when you create a seed using dice with a SeedSigner or a ColdCard it would just map the dice throws directly to the list of words (bit by bit) but the algorithm actually does a SHA265 hash of the entropy provided by the dice and maps this hash. That's why it's even possible to throw less dice and f*ck up your entropy if the software permits it.
