Well, maybe zdnet could try to do something as *ask*. Never was a plan to go inmutable and there's a version of Leap as inmutable (Leap Micro).
Leap, as you know, uses now a hybrid system where base software comes from SUSE Linux Enterprise. Well, SUSE had not a plan to publish a regular version of SLED (SLE Desktop) thought they'll bring new Service Packs.
So in openSUSE there's no sure if would publish a new version (16) or a new version of 15 (15.7).
