agreed and it's very exciting. but i would expect there to be so much more - it makes me want to hunt around for the cause of suppression. ..the two obvious ones are: risk aversion / bread and circuses comfort & lack of genuine existential need (in western countries).
the latter is reversing by the year - which explains the momentum lately. the former is a response to the latter.
I suppose you could say they're the same thing. Basically: "how bad is the State?" There's sort of an escape velocity question. It needs to start getting bad enough to truly motivate second realm development, But if it gets too bad too fast, it squashes them before they can flourish.

back to your original point - i think the socialists understand that curve and see where it can head (and see second realms as greedy, antisocial "social good" value siphons) and are like "LFG!”
