Yes Jim Smij is right, you don't need to nurture the fruit itself (the "fruit" of the "tree"). It sprouted in order to spread the "seed" (spores), and the "tree" from which it sprouted is hidden from view beneath the surface. Technically you watered that "tree," which ain't a bad thing! But yes, a shroom is just a reproductive organ, a fungal phallus 😆
