News: Taiwan’s National Security Council Secretary-General Joseph Wu took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse Beijing of "maritime bullying." He posted radar tracking data showing China’s research vessel Xiang Yang Hong 22 allegedly intruding into waters east of Taiwan.
According to Wu, Taiwan's Coast Guard radioed the ship, telling them: “THIS IS NOT YOUR WATERS.” China's Ministry of Natural Resources claimed the vessel was merely conducting ecological research.
My opinion as a Taiwanese: Oh, really? THIS IS NOT YOUR WATERS EITHER. Didn't you guys just agree a few days ago that that exact area belongs to Japan and Philippine when they drew their Exclusive Economic Zones? So what the fuck does that have to do with Taiwan now?
