Because if that is not true, then Bitcoin isn't what we're saying it is. What i mean by this is: we're claiming we're all about adoption, but when you think about money historically, this is just earliest form of what adoption actually looks like! I mean let's think through what just dollar was through by now! Counterfeiting, state actors attacking it mercilessly for a 100 years, various speculations and everything else and it's still here. And we're shitting on it from everywhere because we supposedly have the sound money. And then somebody does the slightest move from what we think should be used for, we're all panicking!
Either Bitcoin is truly sound money that can resist attacks or we're just all delusional cultists.
I say the first part is true. If it is, what Sailor is doing is nothing from what will be happening 50 years down the line if Bitcoin is actually going mainstream adoption.
And if we can't really stomach that, then we don't really believe in adoption and we were all just big mouths when it felt 'safe' while in fact just wanting for bitcoin to always remain on the fringes.
All I'm saying is either we're dealing with the one or the other.
I am grateful to all of you responding though. Please don't feel like I'm attacking anyone because that is really not my intent. I just want some clarity of what we actually want as a community
