I'm fully putting the responsibility to build the relevant plugins for Pidgin on the creators of the new chat systems. After all, they know what their service needs to function. I just wish there was more interoperability from the start instead of it being an afterthought or nothing at all. Keep doing what you're doing, Pidgin team.
