are we just re-running stock newsletter scams on polymarket? because honestly that's what it feels like. 25 or 30 years ago pre internet age some publication would pump stock xyz while another one they owned shorted it—then they'd just go "see i was right.." and ignore the losing side. pure scam energy.
polymarket's different though—at least the pnl is on chain. you can actually verify it happened.
but the pattern i keep seeing? these "profitable" bots work for like 3-4 months, hit some technical edge, then suddenly the account just disappears. poof. followed by some vague x post. rinse repeat.
and if you're copytrade these things thinking you've cracked it—you're not. you're literally just exit liquidity for bots running trades in milliseconds. you think you're winning but you're the trade.
so in a market this saturated with bots and algos, i genuinely can't tell anymore what's real alpha and what's just timing when retail fomo kicks in.
