Also we have a knack for taking flavors from one area and using them to accent the dishes we stole from somewhere else.
This is why Tex-mex is better than actual Mexican food for example.
Oh and we have barbecue, let’s not pretend that’s not some of the best food on the planet. I prefer the Texas style (of course) but even the other southern states BBQ ain’t bad and I’d rather eat it than most of what passes for “cuisine” in the rest of the world.
