"women's work" is typecast and also devalued. Having emotions isn't tough. Helping others work through their feelings isn't manly. Helping and caring in general is cast as weakness, delegated to those kept from power and influence. Think about who this serves. How it shapes both women and men who want to do significant things, who are ambitious.
What if ambition weren't so incompatible with being a good wife and mother, what if being "a provider" weren't so limiting for men.
