So when I set up my Mac mini last year, I went for Max Ram at 64 and the M4 Pro. I elected for a 1TB internal drive and to avoid the apple tax on the SSD I added a OWC 1M2 enclosure with a WD Black SN850X 8TB (Yes I paid 599 for it and that very same drive is 1500 now) and the OS is on the mini and everything else sits on the external and have a ton of room left. The drive and mac generate a fair amount of heat especially when processing photos so I added a fan to the SSD and later another for the mini. They are USB driven and super quiet and it keeps everything nice and cool #mac #macmini #SSD
