this might sound strange and unrelated, and kinda extreme
but, if i could propose one solution: replace payroll taxes with a land value tax
not a temporary cut. a permanent, revenue neutral tax swap: immediate effect
example: for a worker earning $50,000, eliminating the employee payroll tax would leave roughly $3,825 more per year, about $319 per month, before considering income-tax interactions. the employer would also save approximately $3,825, making that worker cheaper to retain or hire.
in simple terms - "abolish federal payroll taxes and replace them with a land-value tax."
it would not end the iran conflict, erase the federal debt, or repair every institution. but it would immediately increase take-home income, lower employment costs, encourage productive land use, and do so without another inflationary deficit.
it changes the central incentive of the economy from:
