While we might wonder about the veracity of online polls, this recent Youth Endowment Fund on abuse within intimate relations among teenagers which sees it running at around 40% of relationships accords with the experience of a friend's daughter (now in her 20s).
Despite being a bright & engaging girl, she had during her school years, a succession of relationships that involved various forms of abuse... so the survey rings true to me.. which is a concern!
