Gun owner here. I love marksmanship training, and even though I carry one most of the time I am fully of the opinion that there is probably no situation you can't make worse by bringing out a gun.
I carry one because I have a trans kiddo, kids both have trans friends. We get targeted and there's nothing else left to do, the kids bail with the car while I buy time
