I've visited once and it seemed like a cesspool of vendors hawking cheap garbage and traffic. The beach was nice though.
I never returned, spent all my time in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Morelos instead to not feel that yucky tourist trap feeling I got everywhere in Isla.
