I'm a little more tolerant than I used to be about these things. I don't mind if someone wants to say 0.999... ≠ 1 but the onus is on them to answer the myriad of questions I have about their system that have already been settled in the system I use. And while I won't simply say they are wrong I'll happily say they are non-standard.
