We have a very W.E.I.R.D. view on tobacco, where in most of the world it is still enjoyed.
There's also an arc of enforcement, starting in the 1980s, against tobacco which may be going away.
After all, tobacco got scapegoated for the damage done by internal combustion engine pollution, and the data on that is now coming out in force...
