poorbitcoiner (nprofile…ajc2) The main benefit of the secure element is having aggressive rate limiting for encryption key derivation attempts. Only 20 unique attempts are permitted for each profile to derive the key encryption keys with rapidly increasing delays between those. This being implemented by the secure element means an OS exploit or tampering with the main SoC/memory cannot bypass it. The feature cannot reduce security due to how it's integrated.
