I've just posted a quote reply on Mastodon about privacy, surveillance, and the danger of governments building centralised databases filled with deeply personal information.
This kind of system is a gift to bad actors if it is abused, expanded, or breached. It is exactly why privacy, limits on state power, and proper safeguards matter.
