At the macro level most criticism of Artificial Intelligence comes down to some version of SkyNet (the AI from the Terminator films that once reaching self-consciousness turns on humanity to protect itself);

so while at the micro level we wonder about the impact of an increasing use of chatbots on education, social life & the world of work, perhaps the macro critics are right; we're actually confronting an existential threat....

So is AI an issue of 'Don't look up'?
